How to Play Online Blackjack
Following the standard rules of the online table game, the objective of Power Blackjack is to get closer to 21 than the dealer, without busting. A lot of players think that in online blackjack you have to have the highest hand on the table, but this is not the case. It would be extremely difficult in Power Blackjack considering there is no maximum amount of players that can be at the table. Power Blackjack is played with 8 decks in the mix but the 9’s and 10’s are removed from each deck. The card values remain the same as they do in the traditional format of the game, with Aces being valued at either 1 or 11. As previously mentioned, what makes Power Blackjack so unique is the ability to double, treble or quadruple your bet which can be done on either the first two cards or after the split. Once you’ve decided how you’d like to bet, it comes down to what cards come out of the deck. It must be stated that the dealer will always stand with a soft 17. This is probably the most standard side bet in Blackjack and is easily recognisable across all variants. Here, players are betting on the combination of the first two cards and the winning combination is any two cards of the same value.
This side bet can result in a win if your first two cards plus the dealer’s up card correlate with any of the following combinations:
- Suited Trips: an identical set of 3 cards
- Straight Flush: cards of the same suit and in numerical order
- Three of a Kind: same value of card but different suits
- Straight: numerical order but different suits
- Flush: all cards of the same suit but numerical order does not matter
Sort of similar to the 21+3 side bet, players can bet on their first 2 cards along with the dealer's up card with a number of different combinations that can result in a win. Starting with a total of 19, winning combinations can also be highlighted with a total of 20, 21 suited, 21 non suited and 7-7-7.
With this side bet, players are essentially betting on how many cards it takes the dealer to bust. Players can bet from 3 to 8 cards with each having a different payout.
