What card games are played in casinos?

Before we get totally enthralled in what casino card games we have to offer here at Castle Jackpot, we thought it was worth taking a gander at what card games you’ll find in a casino and we’ve listed some of the most popular:

Blackjack Baccarat Speed Baccarat Texas Hold’ Em Poker Three Card Poker Caribbean Stud

How to Play Live BlackJack

So let’s get down to it and take a look at one of the most popular casino card games that we have to offer at Castle Jackpot, and that is Live Blackjack. Also known as 21, the objective of a hand in blackjack is to make a total of 21 or have a hand of cards which beats that of the dealer. However, the cards which are in front of you must not total higher than 21, otherwise, it will be an automatic loss.

But how do I make 21? Well, each card in the deck has a numerical value, which means the numbered cards will be counted as face value so 1-10, the picture cards are also valued at 10, and the ace can be either a 1 or 11, the dealer will ask which is your preference if they come up within a hand.

Once you’ve been greeted by your live dealer, the game will begin, and jousters will be dealt two cards. From there you can decide whether to make one of two basic moves; either Hit (add more cards to your hand to make 21) or Stand (stick with the total you have). There are also other options available to players including Split (where thou can double the wager and receive one more card) or Split (which means you can split the cards into two separate hands - this does require either a pair of the same card or two cards worth 10).

What are the basic Blackjack Strategies?

There are many strategies which are employed by players of live blackjack and many of those who regularly take to the table will prefer to stick to a specific one. But for those new to the game, we’ve picked out some of the basic blackjack strategies you should follow:

Aces Aces should be counted as one if they’re paired with a card that is 6 or less, otherwise it’s the maximum total of 11.

Cards totaling 3-11 It’s here where players are most likely to hit and increase their potential total.

Cards totaling 12-16 If the dealer has a card of six or less than players should hit. If it’s more then standing is the recommended move.

Cards totaling 17-20 It’s always recommended to stand if your cards total these amounts unless you’ve been dealt a 7 and an Ace.

Live Baccarat

Live Baccarat

What is live Baccarat?

A live casino card game with three possible outcomes (player wins, banker wins, or a tie) Live Baccarat allows players to place a bet on one of two available hands. This is either their own or the banker's hand, and all bets must be placed before a hand of two cards will be dealt in either hand.

After the cards have been dealt, the values will then be tallied, and if either hand has a total of 8 or 9, it’s declared natural, meaning no additional cards will be dealt to either hand, and the winner is determined by whichever total is closest to 9. If both hands total the same, it’s a tie.

There is the chance for additional cards to be drawn in Baccarat if a winning hand is not met in the initial draw, but it's worth noting that only one additional card may be dealt per hand, which will be placed face-up on the player's hand first, and if necessary the banker’s.

What is the scoring system in Live Baccarat?

Before starting any game of Baccarat, it’s recommended that players become familiar with the scoring system. Any cards which are dealt between 2 and 9 will have their original numerical value, Aces are worth one point, and any picture cards have a value of 0. When the scores are calculated the cards in play are added together, for example, 9 and 6 making 15. However, the 10 is removed so the players final total will be 5.

What Bets Can I place in Baccarat?

As well as betting on the traditional player, banker or tie bets in Baccarat, players are also able to place side bets:

Player Pair Here the bet involves the player’s hand receiving two identical cards and all cards will pay out on this bet.

Banker Pair The same as above but betting on the banker to receive two identical cards.

Either Pair This relates to the first card dealt to the player and the banker. If they match, this bet will be paid out.

Perfect Pair For this bet to win, the two cards dealt to the banker need to be a matching pair of the same suit. Remember this can be an outcome as eight hands will be used during a game.

What type of Baccarat can I play?

Here at Castle Jackpot we have a wide variety of Live Baccarat games which our jousters can pull up a chair at, whether they’re looking to play Live Baccarat Squeeze or No Commision Baccarat. For those players who like the fast and furious, we also offer Live Speed Baccarat.

Live Poker

Live Poker

What is Live Poker?

If thou art looking for another casino card game that you’ll find in both a live casino and land-based casino, then look no further than the Live Poker games we have to offer. One of the most popular games, there are a number of variants you’ll probably come across, but the basic versions of the game are Stud and Draw. To win, jousters will need to assemble the best hand on offer, but this will differ depending on the type of game you choose to play.

What types of Poker Can I Play?

There are several different types of poker that players will encounter, but probably the most common are Ultimate Texas Hold’Em, Live Caribbean Stud - a variation of five-card stud and Live Three Card Poker which offers a combination of Baccarat and five-card stud.

What is Ultimate Texas Hold’Em?

Eliminating the portion of the game where players interact with one another, Ultimate Texas Hold’Em allows each player to play against the bank. Combining the traditional Texas Hold’Em with added speed, the rules are similar to the normal game, with the object to build the best five-card hand with the community cards turned over in the flop, turn and river. The difference comes in the betting, which means players can only call once per round, and the house is obligated to call any raises.

What is Live Caribbean Stud?

Again a game that is not played against other players, the cards and hands used within this game are identical to five-card stud, but wagering is slightly different. After a player antes up, the dealer will deal 10 cards, five to the player and five to the house, with only the final house card being dealt face up. Here players can then choose to fold or raise. It’s also worth noting that a dealer must have an ace or a king to qualify for a hand, and if they don’t, players are paid the 1:1 ante.

What is Three Card Poker?

Combining Baccarat and Poker, the object of the game is to get a better hand than the dealer in three cards. Players must first place an ante bet, and once the cards are dealt, they can either raise or fold. The dealer's hand will only be revealed if everyone raises. To play a hand, the dealer must have a Queen or higher, otherwise, players will be paid out on the ante.

What is the best card game to play at a Casino?

Blackjack is one of the easiest casino card games to understand within a live casino setting, and it can potentially offer thee the strongest odds of winning. It’s probably one of the most popular games for people to play whether they’re an expert or a complete novice. To beat the dealer or the house players need to simply make the closest total to 21 without going bust.
